Chapter 4 - A Step to Isolation
The factory was in sight. With Odd waiting in the scanner room, Jeremy at the controls and the other three just arriving, it seemed X.A.N.A had been too slow.
"Can't we just have a normal day for once whenever we go somewhere?" Asked Ulrich.
"Why? I thought you liked the excitement." Yumi answered cheerfully whilst trying to keep Andrew's right arm over her shoulder.
Ulrich held Andrew's left arm as the boy starting to wake.
"Looks like you're going to live after all." Ulrich tapped him on the shoulder.
"…Where's… where's the clone?" Andrew asked with little breath remaining.
Yumi and Ulrich

Chapter 3 - When Past Confronts Present
The weekend was Odd's sort of time. Lying in until midday, not having to do any work and plenty of time for snacks; it was as if he was made for Saturdays.
"I swear your snoring gets louder every week Odd." Ulrich complained whilst getting dressed in the dorm. He knew Odd wouldn't hear him, he was too busy dreaming about God knows what nonsense. In the end his noise became too much and Ulrich resulted to throwing his pillow at his snoozing head. He hardly reacted to the impact but it was clear it had woken him up.
"…X.A.N.A stolen my Cornetto…" Odd dribbled out as he fell back into realit

Chapter 1 - A Life Rewritten
In the lifeless depths of the world's most advance super computer, something stirred. The tyrant that inhabited the core programmed its next move. A new development had arisen, a new strength for its enemies. Strength, it believed, that could become something to exploit. It had delayed its last attack to observe, to calculate. Its foes had been distracted; it was this distraction that intrigued it. Unstable, alone; it would be possible. A rising hero, all it had to do was clip its wings. With a new tower chosen to command, X.A.N.A was unleashed.
...
"So, how many shots do you reckon?"
"One each if we're quick.

Chapter 2 - A day in the life
The sun was rising over a cloudless sky; the materialisation program was almost finished and the weekend was just over the horizon, but none of this could keep Jeremy in a good mood. The class stood outside in their P.E uniforms eager for Jim to get under way; this was the only lesson Jeremy dreaded and had no hesitation in skipping. His P.E kit included full tracksuit bottoms, unlike most other students who wore shorts so the heat didn't help his attitude.
"Right, listen up!" Jim began the lesson. "I said listen up!"
The group became silent, apart from Odd who muttered something to Ulrich.
"Now a lot of you

Chapter 1 - Drawn to Discovery
Andrew was not usually the adventurous type. To be fair he was more of a loner, whether that was to do with him being shy or moving from place to place as his dad's firm moved him all over Europe, he didn't know. However when it came to his obsession with art, he just couldn't resist. With sketchbook in hand he had explored most of the French town over the last couple of days, but one prize was still waiting.
The abandoned factory stood in front of him, the walls derelict and covered in graffiti. He wondered what this place could have been used for in its prime, Perhaps a car manufactory. Whatever it was the p

"Oh why won't this stupid thing work!?" A frustrated Jeremy pushed the keyboard across his desk.
The same failure message taunted him on the screen; the red exclamation mark pierced his temper like a blade. For over a year he had tirelessly worked to bring the program to perfection, but even for him it was proving an impossible task. It was way past midnight already and yet Jeremy typed away as he always did. The rest of the students at Kadic Academy were fast asleep, well, say for Ulrich Stern whose snoring roommate sounded like a jet engine.
"What if I adjust the DNA signature to this…?" Jeremy would not stop even when his friends f

Chapter 3 - Unwelcome Guest
Odd looked at his watch. 8:00 AM and Jeremy still wasn't there. He promised that he would meet him and Ulrich by the drink machine at 7:45. Odd could just bet that Jeremy had been up in his room talking to Aelita till the early hours of the morning, and that's exactly what he thought he was doing now. Deciding not to wait any longer he entered his change into the machine and selected the hot chocolate.
"Oh I don't believe it! Does this thing ever work?" Odd saw just a dribble of chocolate fall into his cup before kicking the machine. The result was just another small drip.
"Maybe you've just emptied the hot choc

Chapter 4 - Interrogation
It had been three days since the group chased the intruder from the lab. The team had spent shifts waiting for him to return, but he never did. Jeremy spent most of the time on stakeout, as he was able reverse the damage caused to the super computer at the same time. On closer inspection, Jeremy had realised that the intruder had managed to bug-up far more than just the return to the past.
"So do you think we've managed to scare this guy off?" Odd asked the group as he stuffed his face with a croissant.
The cafeteria was filled with chatting schoolchildren; probably not the best place for secret conversations but

Chapter 5 - Change of Heart
The new arrivals were acclimating to their new surroundings and the layout of the campus. The school itself was large enough to get lost in easily without a guide. Lunch had come around a lot sooner than Andrew had anticipated. He hadn't thought much about how he should act around Jeremy's group. Sissi would assume he would sit with her and her, questionable, choice of company, but Andrew would not be sitting with her. This blow would likely push her interests away from him and force her to find someone else to try and make Ulrich jealous with (something that would never work in a million years anyway).
