The OC Files: Code Lyoko
All That's Left
Darkness.
That was all that
Amica wanted. Relief from the light, stars shining above, a full
moon hanging in a black sky. Crickets chirping, owls hooting.
Actually, she could care less about all of that stuff. She would
have settled for being blind if it meant that she would no longer be
able to see the maddening light.
Had she been able
to sleep here, she would have dreamed of velvet skies, of twilight,
of dawn, of sunsets and cool nights and lying under the stars on a
blanket. Amica would have dreamed of pitch-blackness, of caves and
mine shafts and darkrooms.
Because there was
no night on Lyoko. No break
A tower rises, tipped with white
Its top wreathed in a red glow.
Above it is a dead blue sky
And beneath, icy waters flow.
In another, warmer place,
Where mossy rocks and tall trees stand
A girl senses that something is wrong
For she is the guardian of this land.
Far away in another world,
The sun has yet to rise.
But four heroes run through the
darkness
Determination in their eyes.
Our fate rests in the hands of these
children
These warriors far too young for war.
For us, they have fought a thousand
battles
And for us, they will fight a thousand
more.
Samurai, geisha, cat, and guide
Watched over by the one they leave
